The Mother Eagle Lesson

Often at times we’re afraid of letting our dreams out of the mental cage of fear. Will people accept what I have? Will they appreciate what I have? Will they find my skills extraordinary? Do I have the courage? Can I do it?

Courage is only for the brave. And the bravest of people aren’t people of great physical strength but of mental strength. I was greatly inspired by a documentary I watched today about the mother eagle and her eaglets. Eagles normally build their nests in tall trees or on high cliffs.  After the eaglet gets to a certain maturity, mother eaglet comes back, but this time around, she doesn’t return with food on her beak as she always does. Rather, she hovers over the nest, as she remains almost motionless in mid air with her wings.

I wondered why she did that? Why didn’t she bring food for her eaglets? Why is she hovering over them? It made no sense…… I thought to myself….

Thereafter, she flies down with such great speed and pushes the eaglet out of the nest!…. Why?? …..why did she do that? We’d say she’s wicked! Today i was inspired by the mother eagle….she has something most of us haven’t nurtured. She’s courageous and brave in taking risk. She sees nothing as a limitation. She proves to her eaglets that if she can, they can, age and size is no limitation.

Sometimes all we need in life is a little push…..for us to break free from the chains of fear and soar just like the eagle. She chooses to maximise her desire to fly and mininse the fear of falling…. And so should we.

Little beginnings….

Have you ever desired to start a business, project, an orphanage, an NGO and thought to yourself that you can’t do it?? I have….. Many times…. I have had dreams and goals and visions that I really want to establish but I could not….

The lack of finance, the fear of being exposed to a competitive business atmosphere, the thought of not having sufficient and adequate training on business made me worry all the more.

But I realised one thing, in life, we often look at the ” dream”, the goals, the visions we have set before us, but we forget we need a “step”.  No matter how big your dream is, it will never realise when you don’t make a step. It takes a step.

When I was climbing the stairs today, I noticed I had an aim to get to my room. I never wanted to take the stairs because I had a sprain…..but I had to…because that was the “only way”. And as I climbed, I learned and incredible lesson as I thought to myself:

Success is not how much wealth one acquires, rather, it is virtue, it is consistency in pursuing your goals. Success is believing that you can and that you are capable of doing what you want. That! is the power that drives you to your dream. To me, wealth is the end result of success….

As I thought these through, I felt some inner peace and hope you do too….

Creative power of the human mind!!!

When life throws us stones…..we should have the creative ability to change those stones into fruits. Don’t go out looking for  things that’d change your life. For all you ever seek lies in your creative ability. Make the most out of what you have. See the good even when others see the bad. For what a man sees defines him.

The greatest of enterpreneurs that lived and who still live, suceeded because they had a different perception of things. While the “layman” saw the lack of a communication meduim which could permit the sending and receiving of media files, chats as a major problem and setback, Mark Zuckerberg, saw it as a golden opportunity to bring about change in the trend of comminication. This made him stand out. We should be “authors”, inventors, creators. All these will be possible when we learn to “cultivate the mind”.

Most interestingly the mind is like a piece of land. It needs to be cultivated. The weeds, taken off and useful crops planted. Without which, it is just an empty space.

“Men and women are not prisoners of fate, but only prisoners of their own minds. – Franklin D. Roosevelt

Without question, nearly everyone has at least heard something with regard to our Human Mind Power, but let me ask you…do you take that literally?

The human mind power is unlimited in it’s potential to create the results you desire, WHATEVER they might be. There are no limits with the exception of the limits you place on yourself.
Relatively the mind is what constitutes a man….it has a creative ability. Whatever actions we take, be it business ventures, they’re there because the mind wanted it so.

The problem is……how many of us make use of our mind? Our individual mind power is all that’s required  to create and experience a quality of life that you desire for yourself. In other words anything is possible. But we often at times become limited because of “Fear”. But once you become keenly and consciously aware of that fact and make a conscious and intentional choice to discover how to utilize the limitless creative power provided in accomplishing your visions, hopes, dreams and desires you hold for yourself, you break free and start thinking out of the circles and status set by others. You stop running the ” rat race” as says Robert T. Kiyosaki in his book “Rich dad, poor dad”.
